What is the minimum recommended font size for websites?

Google recommends a minimum body text size of 16px (or 1rem). Text smaller than 12px is considered a mobile usability issue and may trigger a warning in Google Search Console.

Does font size affect SEO?

Indirectly, yes. Small, hard-to-read text increases bounce rates and harms mobile usability scores, both of which can negatively impact your search rankings. Google's mobile-first indexing penalizes poor mobile readability.
