What is Google AMP?

AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) is a Google-backed framework for creating fast-loading mobile web pages. AMP pages use a restricted subset of HTML and are often cached by Google for near-instant loading.

Is AMP still relevant for SEO?

AMP is no longer required for the Google Top Stories carousel or for page experience ranking benefits. However, AMP pages still load very fast and can be useful for content-heavy sites prioritizing mobile performance.
